How to Bake the Famous New York Cheesecake

This is a good recipe for the famous New York Cheesecake:


Ingredients:

- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

- 1 cup white granulated sugar

- 4 (8 ounce) packages of cream cheese, room temperature

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 4 large eggs, room temperature

- 1/3 cup heavy cream


Instructions:


1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and wrap the bottom with aluminum foil.


2. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup of the sugar. Mix until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.


3. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until it becomes smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes. Gradually add the remaining sugar and beat until well combined.


4. Add the vanilla extract and salt to the cream cheese mixture and beat until incorporated. Add one egg at a time, beating well after each addition.


5. Stir in the heavy cream and beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.


6. Pour the cheesecake batter into the prepared crust and smooth the top with a spatula.


7. Bake the cheesecake until the edges are lightly golden and the center is slightly jiggly, about 45-50 minutes.


8. Turn off the oven, crack the oven door slightly, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for about an hour.


9. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely at room temperature. Once cooled, chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.


10. Serve the cheesecake chilled and enjoy!
